Big Fringe
the Lady is finished

Lady Eleanor - Lady Eleanor fringe

Lady Eleanor is finished. I'm just waiting for the perfect time to get her final portrait. This is how I did the fringe. I drew 7 lines one inch apart on the cardboard. On the top line I marked one inch apart, and tied the fringes on. As I knotted each row, I followed the pins down from the row above. After each end was done I spritzed the fringe and let it dry overnight.

She's 23 inches wide and 72 inches long. I blocked her with lace wires on beach towels on the floor, pushing 'T' pins down into the carpet. Can't wait for the recipient to try her out in some cool weather.... it was 91 and humid here on the island yesterday.... enough already!

Now's a good time to work on some UFO's - I have 2 adult sweaters and one child sweater on the needles. And so many things I'd love to start.... but no I must be strong!
